Turn off those notifications!

If you’re anything like me, you’re a pro at multi-tasking. Or at least that’s what I tell my husband. I can totally listen to what he is saying and browsing on my iPad Mini. He never believes me lol. I tend to do the same thing when I’m at my desktop. I’ll have multiple windows open, and I’ll multitask. I don’t know if I just had my volume muted or what, but recently every time I have Facebook open and get a notification, a “chime” goes off. I don’t know about you, but I find this really distracting!

Well, I found the solution!! It’s pretty easy to do and I’ve taken screen shots of my account so you can see exactly what you need to be looking for. Start off by logging into your Facebook account and click on the settings icon in the upper right hand corner.

Select “Account Settings” from the drop down menu.

Once you’re in “General Account Settings,” select notifications.

Next, click “view” on “How You Get Notifications on Facebook.”

Uncheck “Play a sound when each new notification is received.”

Make sure you hit “save changes.” And BAM! no more “chime” when you get a Facebook notification. Now you can get back to multi-tasking without any distractions. ;)
