First blog post! I’m really excited about this new little adventure I’m exploring. I’ve always loved the business side of owning my own business. I think I could be just as if not more passionate about the “behind the scenes” of my photography business as I am with actually photographing clients.
In my first few blog posts I want to expand on why you should choose me as your virtual assistant. There are so many benefits to working with a virtual assistant. One of the biggest needs I’ve seen come out of the photography industry is the need for more time. It seems like we never have enough time in the day to complete everything on our to-do list. That’s exactly what I’m here to help you with! By taking the tasks that you dread doing off of your to-do list for the day, this clears up your time to do other things that you enjoy, like shooting.
Most creatives cringe at left brain tasks. I guess I’m weird because I don’t. I love taking left brain tasks, like bookkeeping or organizing client records, and make them right brain friendly. I love to pump them up with color and interest and make them “pretty” so to speak so they keep your interest.
A lot of my photographer friends wish they could un-publish their phone numbers and deal with clients directly via email. Again, I’m weird lol. I really don’t mind talking on the phone to clients. They can hear tone of voice and you can get to the bottom of their inquiry quickly. Let’s face it. We live in a world of instant gratification and potential clients always want answers NOW! when looking for a potential photographer. Most of the time when you don’t book an inquiry, it’s because another photographer was able to give their “elevator pitch” first.
So, one major benefit to working with a virtual assistant like myself, is I can take the tasks you hate off of your plate and do them for you. Now how awesome does that feel?
